Farmhouse Snowmen!

I guess I was “Farmhouse” even when Farmhouse wasn’t cool. I’ve had what is now considered Farmhouse decor for many years though I more of an eclectic Farmhouse style because I also love rustic, Shabby Chic and Parisian types of decor. It somehow all works together because it’s cozy. Seeing the name of my business, The Cozy Loft, tells you it’s not just a persona or a gimmick for me…it’s who I am.

I wanted to create some snowmen in the Farmhouse style and as one thing led to another, I searched near and far for Buffalo Plaid fabric for the scarf. Seemingly, it’s in high demand as that was like looking for a needle in a haystack. Sure, I could have ordered it but I’m the kind of person who needs to create when I’m excited and envisioning something. There was no time to waste! Finally, I did find it and I have a photo here of how it turned out:

Oh I love it! I did go ahead and make a couple of others to join him so that I could have a few listed in my shop:

You can see them by clicking on the link here. I have another form that I’ve made more of the country/rustic style. He still needs a photography shoot so I’ll share him later on. They delight me! Sometimes it’s difficult to sell things when you want to hoard them all for yourself.  😀

Vols + Snowman = Cuteness

GBO! VFL! Those are two things I use alot of around this time of year on my Facebook and Twitter pages. What can I say, I’m a Tennessee Volunteers fan  for life (AKA VFL) and those this year shows me that we’re finally getting some forward progress. My Vols are currently ranked number 1 in the nation for the recruiting class of 2014. Coach Butch Jones is doing some wonderful things out there and I’m super excited! Go Big Orange (AKA GBO)!

While I’ve always had Vols things in my shop, I’ve been creating more this year because of my excitement. Here’s one of the things that’s found it’s way out of my mind and onto some wood in the form of a snowman!

I have this fella in my shop here.

Sure do hope whoever you follow in football is having a great year. And, if you follow no teams, you sure are missing out! There’s nothing like tailgate parties, sitting at a football game, experiencing a really great game, and of course all the back and forth with your friends who like opposing teams!! It’s just good ole fashioned fun!

Dreams and Reality

Last night I dreamed I had a magnet on my chin. A round ceramic cream colored circle painted with tiny roses and flowers with a magnet on the back. I admit I have some odd dreams but it’s always amazing to do dream interpretation on them to discover the meaning.

This one, from what I’ve gathered, could mean I have unrealized potential and I can bounce back from adversity. Doesn’t this go along with my latest posts? I feel incredibly in tune with myself and being able to realize where I stand, what I’m doing and where I’m going. And, that I’ve finally come far enough to see this! 🙂

Dreams fascinate me. I love having them and then seeing what they mean. A completely odd dream suddenly makes sense…even something as bizarre as walking around with a magnet on your chin can make complete sense sometimes LOL! 🙂

With my craziness now being on record, I should talk about something different. Let me just end this post on a picture of one of my newest paintings. This is an ACEO painting in acrylics on Bristol that I titled “Peace Joy and Love” (You can click here to see the listing) :
