Engagement Gift

I’ve created a new ornament all about the proposal! For this one, I wanted to show the man on one knee holding out a beautiful engagement ring and the woman delighted with the scene in front of her. I hope I captured this most happiest occasion:

I so love my job and creating precious ornaments that are sure to be treasured for life. It makes people happy, so what more could I possibly want? ❤

These are available in my shop here. I thought they’d make a sweet gift for a precious friend or relative who just got engaged or even a treasure for their bridal shower.

Paintings Galore

I was able to reach my goal of getting 48 listings up today! I figured I’d make another post this evening and then I’m going to leave the computer for a good long while. It’s been a long day of listing, editing photos, sharing photos and such. Though, I truly love my “job”!

You’ve seen this one before on a previous post:

This one is one of my personal favorites. The owl seems to be saying “Hello World, I’m ready for anything!”

Another one you’ve seen on here before (I do hold on to things too long, don’t I?)

“Coffee Solves Everything” ACEO Acrylics on Canson, listed here

Okay, that’s enough for tonight and probably more than anyone would want to actually look through at one time. I realize these are photo heavy but maybe my overly talkative post earlier today makes up for that. 🙂

xoxo and good night my friends,

Planner Journal Cuteness

I’ve long had an obsession with planners.  My first one came to me as a gift at a very young age and it opened my world to endless possibilities. The years passing by have only increases the need for a planner in my life. Also, as technology advances and becomes so dominate, my heart and soul grabs hold of the planner that much tighter.  Though my closest family tends to poke fun (lovingly, I think lol) at my dedication to a planner and an organized life, it doesn’t sway me from it at all. It probably makes me dig in harder on it.

For Christmas this year, my best friend gave me The Happy Planner. I had seen it at Hobby Lobby a while back and mentioned to her excitedly that I so wanted it…but that I’d already bought a different one for 2016. Knowing how I really wanted it, she made sure I had it! It has been soooo much fun designing around inside of it and creating new accessories to use in it.

One of the accessories I created was a couple of deluxe style journal tags to use in my planner. Here’s one pair of them – Pink Glitter Hearts:

I have a couple others – the Diamonds – that feature some pink and mint diamonds on one and gold and cream diamonds on the other:

I have some other journal tags I’ll be sharing soon as well as some other goodies, so be sure to keep an eye out for my new creations. I’m so excited to begin this line of products that’s so near and dear to my heart.

Rhonda

The Cozy Loft

When I formed my little cottage industry over 8 years ago, I had dreams for it but nothing like the dreams it has allowed me to dream for it since. Life had taken some twists and turns for me and I’d started painting again after some tough years. People where I worked were requesting and buying different goods from me and people were really beginning to notice my work.

My first shop and blog banner, 2008

I needed to come up with a name for it, though. Something that would fit my business and have a feeling of warmth and cuteness, too.  It took a long time to come up with The Cozy Loft name. Using a thesaurus, I was on a mission. This was extremely important! I wrote page after page of words down then chose words I liked together, then checked online to see if anyone was using it. If so, I’d move on. If not, I’d check several additional sites including Facebook and Twitter to see if it was available there also. If not, then I’d move on. If so, then it would go down as a possibility.  The list of possibilities came to an abrupt halt when I put together thecozyloft. I was extremely excited to look into this name and even more so when I found no one was using it! One of the very basic business ideas is that you create your own brand. So, that was exactly what I wanted to do.

That’s how The Cozy Loft was born many years ago. I never dreamed that I would meet so many wonderful people through it and I never dreamed of how much it would grow…and I would grow. It’s eight years strong now so I’ll have to do something super special at 10 years, won’t I? 🙂

It’s truly been a gift from God and I’m thankful for it.

xoxo,

Rhonda
