Sandra is Back!

One of my all time favorite actresses and one of my favorite new actors star in this wonderful romantic comedy called “The Proposal”.
Charles and I went this movie yesterday afternoon and it was so cute! I just love a good chick flick!
Vegas Love
We are super huge fans of Redbox. You know those red vending machines that you can find at Walgreens and Wal-Mart? For $1.10, you can watch a movie and return it the next day by 9:00 pm the next evening. When you reserve it online, all you have to do is go to the machine, swipe your card you reserved it with and it dispenses your movie. That’s it. A receipt comes to your email. Absolutely lovely! Technology is so great in so many ways.
This weekend, we watched What Happens in Vegas and it was a cute movie. I like the feel-good-couple-falls-in-love-by-the-end movies. Yes, indeedy. I’m a chick-flick kinda gal. Now, I like some of the other stuff too but a feel good romantic comedy certainly works for me.

It was funny…It was cute….Very sweet.
It’s Coming!!!!!
Big Brother 11 starts July 9th!! My guilty summer pleasure will soon be here and I just cannot wait!!
Kisses and McDreamy
We watched such a sweet movie over the weekend – I highly recommend this one to anyone who:
- Loves romantic comedies
- Adores Patrick Dempsey AKA McDreamy
- Loves, Loves, Loves a Romantic Kiss
- Adores Cute Clothes
Let me tell you, this movie just made me feel so good!

“Hannah” wears such cute clothing in this movie. I loved her red and white polka dotted top, her Scottish frock that she was wearing during the hot and steamy kiss she and “Tom” shared, and so much more.
I loved and adored this sweet movie. What a wonderful Saturday evening it made for me…
Paul Blart: Mall Cop

I know what you are thinking…all this time I’ve been writing this blog and there’s been hardly ANY movie posts. Mainly because for the past 8 years or so, I’ve been really avoiding movies except for an occasional few that really stood out. I can’t really explain why that has been that way. Before that, I used to love movies and would watch them all the time. I think it’s because of the introduction of ebay and etsy. This allowed me to have an outlet for my creations and has pretty much taken over my life for a while. While I’m still working on those things, I’ve been taking it at a much different pace. I like where I am right now. I’m truly happy.
That leads me to this - another movie post…We rented Paul Blart: Mall Cop this past weekend. The trailer for this movie was hysterical and I thought it would really be a funny movie. We wanted to rent it this weekend and it took so much time to find it. We even ended up driving to a nearby city to get it.
In the end, it was just silly though…and silly in a bad way. The actions in the movie were silly enough that I found it mostly un-funny. There were parts that warranted a chuckle, but overall not worth the viewing to me. This could have been a really funny movie and I think it fell apart in the writing. Kevin James was perfect for the role, but I felt the movie let him down. I didn’t feel the chemistry between “Paul” and “Amy” and couldn’t cheer them on because I had no investment in them making it. It was, however, pretty clean as far as language and actions, making it something that might appeal to families.
At any rate, I wouldn’t watch this one again nor recommend it to others. If you have seen it, what did you think?
The World is a Playground…

We watched this movie this week. There were times “Carl” and “Allison” were speaking to each other and the things they said would literally make you laugh out loud. It was so unexpected and funny! I hope you watch this movie as it’s lighthearted and fun. Not a really, really AWESOME movie, but a solidly funny one.
My favorite line of the whole movie? The world is a playground. Think about that. The world is a playground. How much lighter would this world be if we approached most of life with that thought? I say let’s play!!
At the Movies…

Last weekend Charles and I went to see X-Men Origins: Wolverine. It was really, really good. I’ve never been much of one to be into scifi, but I really have enjoyed the X-Men series overall. The new movie was really great and I really hope you see it – even if this type of movie isn’t typically your thing.
Charles had mentioned that there will be more movie deals to come from this movie including one surrounding Deadpool. Now, that should be very interesting also. Personally, I really enjoyed Ryan Reynolds performance as Deadpool/Wade.
I know this is an odd post to have on my usually very feminine blog – but if any of you have seen it – what did you think? Like it, Love it or Hate it??
Animated Clone Wars
Charles is truly a Star Wars enthusiast. He has quite the collection of Star Wars memorabilia and I encourage him all I can. This past weekend, we went to see the new Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated film. Now, I usually enjoy the Star Wars movies and I enjoy animated films. For some reason, I wasn’t enjoying this one. I **wanted** to enjoy it and did very much try.
Charles liked the movie, but didn’t feel like it was up to par with the others either. We both agreed that would love to see some of the lesser characters developed more in these stand alone types of movies, where a viewer would not know the outcome of the character’s fate, as we did with the main characters throughout this one.
Nonetheless, I think it was a great evening out and we did have a great time. After all, there’s nothing in the world like movie theater popcorn!! :D
