Giveaway + Facebook Fan Page
I’ve been working on a facebook Fan Page for my cozy loft etsy shop and finally published it yesterday. There’s still lots to do but it is up and available for you to see and become a fan if you would like. Just click here to see it.

From the Bottom of My Heart…
I thank each and every one of you for your prayers for my Mama. She had her first appointment regarding her back and she doesn’t have to have surgery! She can’t lift anything, including my Grandmother anymore but she’s not going to have to have surgery at this point. This is such a blessing and an answer to our prayers.
Now, she just has to get through the heart cath later around the middle of this month. Please, please keep her in your prayers. There’s so much power in prayer and my strong Christian friends and family mean the world to me.

What a Way to Wake Up!
It’s always such an honor to make a friend through my blog. I have actually made several and am so proud to have discovered them. They have allowed me to become a part of their lives and the reverse is true too!

Chocolate Granola and I Won??
Ok…how yummy does that chocolate granola look??? I made that lovely concoction of coconut, almonds, oats and chocolate chips (a few other goodies) thanks to a super lady and her oh so wonderful blog called “Food Loves Writing”. There’s a great book entitled “The Ungarnished Truth” by Ellie Matthews. I can hardly wait to read it! In the prize pack was also a RuMe bag that’s so deceptive in size. While it looks tiny, it opens to be quite sizeable. Love it! And, sweetheart that she is, Shannalee also included the cutest card that I thought fit her blog and her so well. Perfection!

Girl’s Guide Book Giveaway!
When we went on vacation to the Great Smoky Mountains, we visited a book warehouse and bought several books to read. We sat outside on our hotel balcony and read for hours. One of the books I read was called “The Girl’s Guide to Absolutely Everything” by Melissa Kirsch. This is where the book was read, so it’s had a happy life thus far:
This was really a great book for someone in their 20s and actually it has alot to offer women of any age, too. I made a few changes in my own life because of this book (mainly involving getting more hours of rest each night among other things!) and I hope it can be helpful to someone else now that I’ve finished it.
Rather than put it up for sale on ebay, I thought I’d give it away here on my blog. Retail value is $15.95, though I got it for a steal of a deal of $6.99 and you’ll get it for free! Sachets and Dreams
The new year has such a big meaning to me. I’m a dreamer…which may be a requirement to be an artist. I’ll never grow up completely. I’m always thinking of adventures. Even for all the things I sell. I like to get so involved with those things and think of what they might mean to someone…or how it might brighten someone’s day to have something I created.
One of my favorite thoughts occurs with my sachet pillows (and this occurs with each and every sachet I make) and it is that I like to think of someone opening a lingerie drawer and seeing a little sachet that I made and it making them feel special. Imagine it making them a little happier right before they leave for a date or for work…or for grocery shopping! Those little sachets are so feminine and such a special little gift we can give ourselves. How lovely is that?
I always take pride in the construction and color choices and I do so hope it shows. Because when it goes out from my home to yours, I want it to be oh-so-perfect. That’s exactly how I feel about each and every little thing I do.
Right now, I just feel so happy when I think about my little etsy shop and all the wonderfully sweet friends I have made there! Thank you all so much. I am so truly honored to be a part of your homes…and your lives!

I can’t believe it!! I was featured on the front page today around 12:30 p.m.!! The treasury I was in was made by one of my sweet etsy friends kimiko611 and was so pretty. Thankful and Prayerful Thanksgiving
I cannot believe that Thanksgiving is Thursday. There’s so much to be thankful for and so many things to be so prayerful about. Through this year, I have had quite a few rough patches and have had quite alot of good things happen, too. Lately, I have been reflecting alot so I thought it would be a perfect time to sit down and write all of the prayerful things and thankful things I have on my heart at this particular time.
I’m thankful for:
- My discovery of etsy
- The wonderful friends I have – online and not online
- Opening my shop on etsy
- Kind words said by others
- Friendships that are tried and true
- My wonderful, thoughtful husband
- My parents – they are the best Mama and Daddy that a girl could ever dream of having
- My brother – he’s always there when times are tough and can always make me laugh
- My extended family who I know are just a phone call away
- My faith, which gets me through so many hard times and helps me to see clearly
- Our house. While it’s slowly getting renovated to our vision, it’s our safe haven. Our little piece of comfort. Our home.
- That I was born into this wonderful country.
- Being able to do something that I love and share it with others.
Things that I am prayerful for:
- Our wonderful country and all the issues we face.
- Making my etsy shop my full time job.
- The economy.
- The President and his family.
- People who have wronged me.
- Soldiers and their families.
- Sick and hurting people, known and unknown.
