Pretty Mother of Pearl

I haven’t shown any of my very recent creations to you lately. It seems I have so many different things to talk about that I’m running a bit behind!

One of my favorite new additions to my shop, just listed over the weekend is this hand painted, original Mother of Pearl pendant:

It was so much fun to create and I am really pleased with the final product. This little owl would be adorable to wear with so many things – just adorable!

Spring + Owls

I’ve missed a few days of blogging – how can this be?  First, I hope you had a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day. It was a lovely day here with beautiful weather. (I can’t wait for Spring!!)

I’ve been super busy lately working on our house, getting started on our garden, and of course creating things. While I’m still trying to keep up with all the blogs of my friends, I’ve had trouble getting to my own!

I’ll have lots to tell you about the garden and what our plans are. Hopefully there will be pictures galore. For this weekend, we have rented a tiller so we can prep the ground. While it’s still a bit too soon to start planting outside, the planting is definitely going on indoors!

I have listed a few new sachets in The Cozy Loft shop. As for The Owl Barn, I’ve had a few new creations for that as well.

Farm Life

Americana paintings and art has long been an interest of mine. I’ve recently been working on an Americana painting for The Owl Barn of mine and just finished it late last night. Being just exhausted (and sleeping almost 11 hours last night!), I listed it in the shop today.

I realize I should occasionally take some before pictures of my art, like while it’s in progress because that might be of interest. At least it interests me to look at other artists before/during pictures. Here’s one I took during the process:

The addition of the sheep was fun for me, but of course, the most fun addition was the little owl. Can you see him peeking out of the tree?
