Sachet Giveaway!

Etsy is one of the most wonderful places to me. People are friendly and the community is so full of creative and wonderful artists!

One such artist contacted me recently and we have exchanged several emails back and forth. Her name is Dev and she has this super sweet blog called “Dev’s Favorite Giveaways”.

She is doing a feature on my shop “The Cozy Loft” and I’ve offered one of my sachets as a prize! Please click here to go by and leave a comment if you would like to enter to win. Plus, you will probably want to bookmark this lovely blog as she does so many nice things on there!

Remember to read her instructions because you can enter in different ways.

I feel so special that I am featured there and the kind things she said about me and my little cottage industry. Thank you so much Dev!! ♥

Berries – Yummy!

We had the first fruit of our labor yesterday! HOW EXCITING!! We ate our first strawberry from our Cardinal Strawberry plant. Oh why oh why didn’t I take a picture of it for you to see? I did take one a few days ago, though and you can see that here:

It is the one on the right. That photo was taken several days ago, so imagine it the most beautiful red color ever and so very, very good. I brought it in and washed it, then cut it in half so Charles and I could both share in our very first edible from our garden.

This particular strawberry plant, at the time of this photo:

had 14 berries on it! Well, now that we have eaten one, it has 13 currently.

Amazing, isn’t it? How nice it will be to feel a little hungry and then be able to walk outside to our back yard and gather some things to eat. I am so loving this and highly recommend it to everyone!

Magazine Love

I guess you can say I am a magazine person. With all the different interests I have, I could spend a fortune in magazines with their beautiful glossy photos and interesting articles.

For the last two months, I’ve been picking up a new magazine while at Wal-Mart. I’m not really a Wal-Mart gal, but I do find myself in there about once a week, it seems. There’s a little magazine at the check-out area that costs less than $3.00 called “All You”.

These magazines are chock FULL of coupons! I mean some really, really great coupons! In this month’s issue, you’ll find a coupon for BOGO free Sally Hansen Nail Polish Pens. These run about $6 each – what a great bargain! You’ll also find a BOGO free Rimmel Nail Polish AND $3.00 off any 2 Neutrogena products. Coupons are not just limited to health and beauty aids, either. There are coupons for ketchup, toothpaste, and snacks  – just to name a few.

This is not even mentioning the fact that this is a fun magazine with lots of interesting articles and recipes. Just make sure you read through it before you start clipping coupons…or else you might just clip part of something you want to read!! :)

Sophisticated Play

I have had a chance to try out a few of the goodies from my ELF make-up haul last week. Today, I put the nail polish on my fingers and toes in “Blush”, which is more of a light copper or bronze than my immediate thought of blush being pink. For today, I just put on one coat to give it a test run. I really like it though:

Charles classified this particular polish in a cute way, I thought. He said it was “sophisticated yet playful” which I thought was adorable!

It’s been a really long time since I painted my finger nails. With my new job, I’ve been trying to be more polished. So, in case you were wondering why the sudden surge of make-up, skincare and beauty posts, that’s why. :D

It just goes to show you that I really write about what’s going on in our lives. You get it all – I do so hope you enjoy it and that most of all you benefit from it in some way.

Hope your week is going great!
